Women in Drupal Award, Barcelona DrupalCon 2024!

2024 will be the third year the award has been in place, aiming to honour and spotlight successful and inspiring women in tech. The Women in Drupal Award is important in recognising role models in the industry, who can inspire other women to leap into tech.

The award isn't just for developers; it's open to women in all areas of work—from HR recruitment specialists to designers to sales talents. If you know of a standout woman in Drupal, please shine a spotlight on her and nominate her! Anyone can be nominated for the award, whether working in Drupal for a long time or at the very start of their career.

Women in Drupal Award Categories 

You can nominate your female colleagues who work in Drupal in the following three categories.

• Define: Everyone who works on defining an innovative Drupal project, be it a strategist, a designer, a founder or any other changemaker.  
• Build: Builders and makers have their place here, including developers, architects, or HR specialists recruiting talents to build an innovative Drupal agency. Community members who help create a thriving Drupal community can also be nominated.
• Scale: Everyone involved in scaling platforms or businesses could be a candidate for the Scale award. It's a category for developers as well as sales talents or consultants.  

Together with the Drupal Association, we've continued this important award to highlight female talent and raise awareness of the underrepresentation of women in the industry.

According to the Women in Tech Survey 2023, women accounted for only 26% of people working in IT. We believe that women should be a vital part of the Drupal community and hope to bridge the gap between genders in the tech industry by celebrating the remarkable achievements of innovative women in Drupal.
