At this year’s Esri User Conference in San Diego, Jakala was proud to stand alongside our strategic partner, Esri, and our client, MAPEI, to spotlight how location intelligence is transforming business processes across industries. The annual event brought together more than 18,000 professionals, innovators, and technology leaders from around the globe to explore the evolving landscape of GIS, AI, and digital transformation. 

For Jakala, this year’s conference was particularly meaningful. Esri formally recognized Jakala as a Global Gold Partner, marking the first time we’ve received this prestigious honor, which is the highest level of partnership Esri awards. This recognition underscores our deepening collaboration with Esri and our shared vision of empowering enterprises to derive actionable insight from location data.

Showcasing Innovation with MAPEI: Real-World Impact of Location Intelligence.

A highlight of the event was a presentation by Raffaele Gerbi, CRM Manager at our client MAPEI, titled “Integrating Esri with CRM for On-the-Go Location Intelligence.” Presented to a packed audience of over 200 engaged attendees, Gerbi’s presentation offered a concrete demonstration of how location-based data can drive real business value when seamlessly embedded into daily operations. 

Working closely with MAPEI, Jakala developed and deployed an innovative solution designed to support their field force teams in the construction and industrial sectors. Field technicians now have the ability access critical information on-the-go and capture photos and notes from job sites in real-time, directly within their mobile environment, and have that data instantly logged into Microsoft Dynamics CRM. This tight integration ensures that data collected from the field is not only more accurate but also immediately actionable. The result? Better organized workflows, more efficient job site reporting, and smarter planning across the board. 

Microsoft Dynamics Integration That Aligns with Strategic Priorities.

What resonated strongly with Esri’s audience was the deep integration with Microsoft Dynamics, a platform Esri has invested in heavily in recent years. Our implementation for MAPEI is a powerful case study of what’s possible when Esri’s location intelligence tools are tightly coupled with enterprise systems like CRM. It reflects a growing demand among enterprise clients to streamline the flow of information from the field to the HQ, and Jakala is uniquely positioned to make that vision a reality.

Innovative Solutions Presented at Esri UC '25.

Generative AI Meets Field Ops. 

AI powered applications were central to many of the most innovative solutions presented at the conference, blending traditional GIS integrations with concrete use cases designed to maximize analyst and workforce efficiency. One example features a field technician managing a repair on an electrical grid: using smart glasses, the tech captures an image of a utility pole, which is automatically recognized and matched with maintenance history and intervention protocols. The AI-powered system then summarizes the work, tracks progress, and suggests the next site visit, all in real time. 

This isn’t a futuristic concept, it’s a practical application of AI, GIS, and CRM integration that demonstrates how we are co-piloting business intelligence to augment real-world operations. It’s an example of how we design solutions that serve both the strategy and execution levels of an organization.

Elevating Lead Generation with Satellite Imagery.

Another cutting-edge capability that was showcased at the conference was how through the use of AI it’s possible to extract business-relevant data from satellite imagery, particularly for B2B applications in the construction and real estate sectors. In one use case, lot-level data was utilized to identify potential sales leads based on the condition and age of rooftops, recent real estate transactions, or visible signs of damage. 

By combining Esri’s location intelligence with AI-powered analysis, Jakala can help our clients uncover commercial opportunities by creatively stitching data to generate insights that would otherwise remain hidden. This reflects a key aspect of Jakala’s value proposition: we don’t just source and analyze data, we creatively blend internal and external datasets to unlock new and powerful forms of value.
